How do I set up the widget?

Setting up is easy:

• Open the Toggl Widget app
• Log in with your Toggl Track credentials
• Long press on your iPhone lock screen
• Tap the "+" button and search for "Toggl"
• Choose your preferred widget size and add it

Why does my widget show "Setup required"?

This means you haven't logged in yet. Simply:

• Open the Toggl Widget app
• Log in with your Toggl Track credentials
• The widget will automatically update once you're logged in

My widget isn't updating. What should I do?

Try these troubleshooting steps:

• Check your internet connection
• Verify your Toggl API token is correct in the app settings
• Open the main app to force a refresh
• Remove and re-add the widget to your lock screen
• Make sure you have an active timer running in Toggl Track

How do I stop a timer from the widget?

Simply tap the "Stop" button on your widget. The timer will stop immediately and the widget will update to show no active timer.

What widget sizes are available?

We offer two widget sizes:

• Small: Shows timer status, duration, and project name
• Large: Shows full details with a prominent timer display and stop button

Is my data secure?

Yes! Your Toggl API token is stored securely on your device using iOS Keychain. For lock screen and widget updates, an encrypted copy is stored on our servers so we can update the widget when you start or stop timers from the web—we use it only for that. All communication with Toggl's API is encrypted and secure.

Do I need a Toggl Track account?

Yes, you need a free Toggl Track account to use this widget. You can sign up at track.toggl.com if you don't have one.

How often does the widget update?

The widget automatically refreshes in real-time to show your latest time entries. Updates happen automatically when you start or stop timers in Toggl Track.
